What happens if I lose or damage a library item I checked out?
For items that are lost, damaged, stolen, or never returned to the library, you will be charged the replacement cost of the item(s). Replacement costs may be assessed in addition to late fines.
You may opt to purchase a replacement copy for the library. Replacement copies must be the exact edition and format as the original item. If you are billed for a lost item but then return the item, you will only be charged the accrued late fines, rather than being charged the replacement cost for the item.
