Does the ARC Library have audiobooks?

The Los Rios libraries don’t offer audiobooks, but the Sacramento Public Library (SPL) does!

Here’s how to access audiobooks (and ebooks) for free:

1. Get a SPL Library Card

Borrowing library books in any format is always free – you’ll just need a library card. If you don’t already have a Sacramento Public Library card, you can apply for one online. You can also visit any SPL library branch and staff can help you get a card.

2. Get the Libby and Hoopla Apps

These two apps let you borrow free audiobooks and ebooks. With Hoopla, you get immediate access to 5 titles per month. With Libby, you can borrow up to 60 titles at a time, but you may have to wait a few weeks for popular titles.

3. Set up your free accounts

Follow the set up instructions in each app to link your library card to your Libby and Hoopla apps. You won’t need to pay anything.

4. Start listening!
