This course is not meant to be busy work for you, but rather a place for you to get information and obtain resources so that you can be successful.
The course has six modules:
An introduction that defines OER and provides some research showing the effectiveness of OER
An introduction to open pedagogy and anti-racist teaching
An introduction to using AI to create OER
A brief overview on Creative Commons licensing and copyright
Finding OER, including tips on searching and links to places where you might start your search
Curating, Adapting, and Creating OER, including tips on backward design how to publish your OER when it's complete
The college is in the process of hiring some OER Specialists that can assist you through this process. The project lead, Andi Adkins Pogue will also be holding regular office hours, workshops, and is available to come to department meetings or other groups that need some additional information or help.
