Why isn't a class I teach eligible for the OER Conversion Grant?
The OER Conversion Grant is only open to faculty who teach classes on the list of eligible courses because funding is coming from the State Chancellor's Office ZTC Degree program. Last fall, CRC submitted several ZTC degree applications and has received funding for 15 disciplines:
Allied Health - Pre-Health Occupations AS
Anthropology ADT
Biology ADT and AS pre-nursing
Chemistry AS
Communication Studies ADT
English ADT
Geography ADT, Sustainability certificate
Horticulture AS and certificates
Interdisciplinary Studies - Ethnic Studies focus AA
Journalism ADT
Mathematics ADT
Music ADT
Nutrition ADT and AS
Physics ADT
Sociology ADT
The list of eligible courses represents all discipline-specific courses required for one of the above degrees or certificates and courses that count toward general education.
CRC continues to seek funding to continue incentive programs that support all faculty and all disciplines. The hope is that the college will be able to open this opportunity further in future semesters.
