Can you explain the payment process for the OER Conversion Grant?

Final Milestones

The final milestones to meet to earn your payment are:

  1. Turn in your final assignment in module 6 of the Introduction to OER and Open Pedagogy course.
  2. Wait for Andi to evaluate the assignment.
    1. If additional information is needed, she will not enter a grade, but leave feedback with lingering questions and also alert you through email.
    2. If there are no questions or questions that can be resolved in your last meeting, you'll receive a grade and a comment with links to upcoming office hours.
  3. Meet with Andi a final time to talk about publishing your textbook/resource information and to get details of the payment process.

Paperwork for Payment

  1. Your name will be forwarded to the instruction office where Valeria Mendoza will investigate whether you have a current CalPERS exlusion form and other necessary paperwork on file.
    1. If yes, an electronic PEX will be initiated.
    2. If no, you'll be asked to sign and return the needed paperwork and the electronic PEX will be initiated.
  2. You will receive an automated email from NoReplyHRForm@losrios.edu with instructions on how to access and approve the PEX. Upon your action, it will be forwarded to an AVPI for final approval.
  3. You will receive an email from your department's Administrative Assistant, which includes a timesheet. You must sign and return the timesheet. Your Dean's signature will also be requested and the timesheet will be returned back to the Instruction Office.
  4. The Instruction Office will gather final signatures and forward the timesheet to HR. If your timesheet is returned by the 20th of the month, you will be paid on the 10th of the following month.

Important

You must complete steps one (if applicable), two, and three above to get paid. Please check your email regularly.
