Do you have guidance for faculty who are creating their final deliverable in Canvas?
If you are publishing your own material as an OER in Canvas (Category 3 - option 1, Category 4, or both), you are asked to add Andi Adkins Pogue to your development shell before turning in the template that is linked in Module 6 of the Teaching with OER and Open Pedagogy course.
We also ask that you add an introductory section to the homepage of the course that describes the content and your teaching philosophy in creating the resource. Below are some examples from faculty who have completed this work:
Example from COMM 331
Example from ENGL C1000
Next Steps
Once you turn this in, Andi will do a quick pass through to identify any obvious questions. Then an OER Specialist will do a thorough audit to check for accessibility, add attribution to images and/or replace images that aren't CC licensed, correct broken links, etc. Please be patient - there may be a significant time delay from the time you give us access to the shell to the time we are able to publish it on Canvas Commons. This will not impact your payment. Once you've turned in the final deliverable and meet with Andi for the second check-in, your payment process will begin.
