Visit the Library

You may visit the library for research help from a librarian. View the Library's open hours

 

Virtual Research Appointments

You can meet one-on-one with a librarian through a video or phone appointment. Get help narrowing topics, developing research questions, finding appropriate sources, citations, and more. Schedule a research appointment.

 

24/7 Chat Reference

Librarians are available 24/7 via chat reference.  CRC librarians staff the chat service during regular business hours, and non-local librarians are available to answer questions during all other times of day (or night).  You will see the Ask A Librarian chat icon from OneSearch, inside our Research Guides, and on the Library’s homepage. It's available in this guide in the lower right corner.

 

Canvas Research Tutorials

You can enroll in this self-paced Research Tutorial Course in Canvas. It's a series of information literacy and critical thinking modules. Topics include:

  • What is Research?
  • Getting Started with Research
  • OneSearch Basics
  • Evaluating Sources
  • Fact-check: Understanding misinformation and disinformation
  • Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism

Each lesson includes readings, videos, activities, and a quiz to assess understanding of the material.
