Can the library help me with MLA or APA citations for my research paper?

Yes!  Citations can be difficult and the library has resources to help.  Make sure you know which style is required by your instructor!

  • Online research guides have been prepared by CRC Librarians for the commonly used citation formats
    MLA 8
    APA 6
  • Paper copies of the research guides for MLA and APA style are free and available on the rack that sits next to the Library reference desk.  You will also find the guide for Chicago style which is less common but still used by some CRC instructors.
  • Live and personal assistance from a CRC librarian.  Drop by the reference desk in the library anytime and ask a question.  If you need more time you can reserve a 40 minute research help session with one of the librarians.
  • Purdue OWL - The Online Writing Lab at Purdue University has the most complete and easy-to-understand guides for properly formatting your research paper.  Detailed instructions and examples are included for all types of sources.
