How do I download library ebooks to my ereader?

My teacher mentioned in her syllabus that you have ebooks that can be downloaded to our ereaders. 

 
Can you tell me where and how to access these?

Most ebooks are easily viewed online in a browser. They can be searched, portions can be downloaded or emailed in PDF form, and some ebooks can be checked out to your device.
