When I borrow a book, how long do I get it for?

Borrowing Books

CRC Library has books available to borrow for different lengths of time (2-hour, 10-day, 3-weeks, 1-semester). When you check out an item, you will receive an emailed receipt with the return date for the item. There should also be a return date stamped in the book. Here's a bit more information about how long books may be borrowed for:

2-hours: If you borrow a textbook in-person in the Library, it will usually be lent for 2 hours at a time. Note: 2-hour books may not be requested in advance.

10-days: If you request a textbook for pickup, it may be loaned for 10 days. Keep in mind that the Library allows renewals on these loans, as long as no other students have requested the book. You can renew your book online using your library record

3-weeks: Most books in the library that are not textbooks for a class will be lent to you for 3 weeks at a time. Keep in mind that the Library allows renewals on these loans, as long as no other students have requested the book. You can renew your book online using your library record

1 semester: The Library lends some textbooks for the full semester. These are due on the last day of the semester. Check to see if we have your textbook and request a copy today!
