The CRC Library now offers audiobooks and magazines through a service called Libby. You can access Libby ebooks and audiobooks from a computer, or you can download an app onto your phone or tablet. You can choose your check out duration for either 7, 14 or 21 days. You can check out up to 3 ebooks/audiobooks at a time.
Access Libby from a computer
CRC Library website > Databases > L > Libby
Once at the Libby homepage, click “Sign In with My Card,” then choose your college and sign in with your W-ID number and password
Access Libby with the Libby app
- Download the Libby app onto your device
- Open the Libby app. When asked “Do you have a library card” choose “Not Yet.”
- Choose “Find Libraries Nearby”
- Search for "Los Rios Community College District”
- Choose “Sign in With My Card”
- Choose your college
- Sign in with your W-ID number and password
- You’re connected!
- You can add your local public library to your Libby account to get access to even more books and magazines. From the center “hamburger” menu, choose “Add Library” to search for your public library and connect your library card.
Find more audiobooks from the Sacramento Public Library
The Sacramento Public Library (SPL) provides audiobooks (and ebooks).
Borrowing library books in any format is always free – you’ll just need a library card. If you don’t already have a Sacramento Public Library card, you can apply for one online. You can also visit any SPL library branch and staff can help you get a card.
