Where can I pick up my request?

You can request a book or other physical material (like a Chromebook) to borrow from the CRC Library. When you submit your request in OneSearch, you will choose a pickup location.

• Cosumnes River College Library 
  • For the CRC Library, all requested items must be picked up from the library lockers.
  • Requests typically take 2-3 business days to be prepared for pickup. 
• Elk Grove Center
  • You may choose the Elk Grove Center (EGC) as a pickup location for most requests. EGC requests may be picked up in the Learning Resource Center at EGB 113.
  • Chromebooks and other equipment may not be picked up at the Elk Grove Center. 
• Los Rios Libraries
  • Many books and library materials may be picked up at another Los Rios library (ARC, SCC, FLC, and EDC). Select the pickup location of your choice.
  • Look for an email notification letting you know when your request is ready.
  • If you don't see your preferred pickup location, the item may need to be picked up at the library that owns it. 
• Reserves
  • Most Reserve materials (10-day, 1-semester) may be requested in advance and picked up from a CRC Library locker or the Elk Grove Center. 
• Chromebooks
  • Chromebooks may be requested in advance and picked up from a CRC Library locker.
  • Chromebooks may not be picked up from the Elk Grove Center.

Luxer One

To provide locker services, the library has contracted with a third party, Luxer Corporation.

When you make a request for CRC Library pickup, the Library provides your name, email address, phone number, and Los Rios user ID to Luxer so that it can send you notifications via email and (if desired) text message. To use the lockers, you must accept accept Luxer One's terms of service.

When will my request be ready? 

Requests typically take 2-3 business days to be prepared for pickup. Requests may take longer if: 

• There is a high volume of requests (e.g. beginning of the semester). 
• The item is traveling from one library to another (e.g. request an item from American River College to pickup at CRC). 
• Your request is in the queue and other students are ahead of you. Log into your library account to check the status of your request.
