Q. How do I change a continuous PO line for an already activated resource that is in the status of "sent" to "waiting for renewal"?

Answer

This problem can happen if you send a PO line for a resource that has already been activated and you neglect to use the Electronic Activation Task List. The PO line will remain in status "sent" and not show up in the Renewals task list even if you have correctly indicated the renewal date on the PO line.

To fix,

  1. find the resource (likely an electronic collection) by searching Alma 
  2. from the More Actions menu select Create E-Activation Task
  3. go to the Electronic Activation task list, find the resource, and select Done.

The resource should now show as "waiting for renewal" or, if it is within the window indicated on the PO line, "waiting for manual renewal."
