What is the "current Academic Year" found in various date filters in Analytics?

Unlike fiscal years, Current Academic Year is not defined within Alma. For the U.S., the academic year is August-July.
This filter setting might be useful in certain reports. However, at this time Alma Analytics does not provide a filter for previous academic year. In many cases using fiscal years (for us, July-June) will be more practical.
