What special problems might CVC Exchange students have in using library resources?

Los Rios has courses listed in the California Virtual Campus (CVC) Exchange. This means that students at other California Community Colleges can enroll in them without formally enrolling in Los Rios.
When this happens, the student is for practical purposes enrolled at Los Rios. They are assigned a Los Rios student ID number (W + 7 digits) and can create a password; a record will be created in Alma; and they will have access to online databases via EZproxy for the college providing the course.
Creating a Los Rios password as a CVC student
We learned that CVC students have an odd step in creating their Los Rios password. The password creation site is located at losrios.edu/student-resources/technology-resources/password-management/create-password
When the system prompts the student for their Social Security number, they should instead enter 9 X's, i.e.: XXXXXXXXX
