How can I pay my library fees?

Pay online

Students can pay for library fees online using a credit card in eServices. When you make a payment in eServices, you need to pay for all charges listed.

  1. Sign in to eServices to get to the Student Homepage.
  2. From the Student Homepage, click the Financial Account button.
  3. Click Make a Payment to begin a credit card payment. You will arrive at Step 1 of 6.

    Select Make a Payment

  4. Click Confirm and complete the steps to process the credit card payment.

Your payment should be reflected in your Library Account about an hour after you pay.

Pay in person

Students may also pay outstanding fees at the Business Services Office at the SCC main campus. Employees, emeriti and community borrowers who owe library fees must pay via the Business Services Office—payment via eServices is not available to them.

When you pay at the Business Services Office, you will be able to select which charges you are paying for, or make a partial payment.

Students may go directly to the Business Services Office without first visiting the library. Employees, Emeriti Association members, and community borrowers must first visit the library Circulation Desk to obtain a statement of charges, and bring this statement to the Business Services Office. After making the payment, bring your payment receipt to the library so that the charges can be cleared from your library account.

The Business Services Office accepts payment by:

  • credit card
  • cash
  • check

If you are unable to visit the Business Services Office in person, you may mail a check or money order and include SCC Library Fines in the memo or description. Please note that you may not make credit card payments over the phone.

Students and employees will see payments reflected in their library account about an hour after the payment is received.

Return your materials

In most case, you can return the overdue items and the fees will be waived in part or in full. To check on your status, please contact the Circulation Department at (916) 558-2301.
