How do I pick up books from SCC's library lockers?

When requesting your book, select SCC Lockers as your pickup location.

Pickup location selection menu includes SCC Lockers

When the library is ready to deliver your item to the locker, you will receive an email indicating that it will be available soon. When the item actually gets to the locker and is ready for pickup, you will receive an email from support@luxerone.com. Please add this email address to your contacts to make sure the email doesn't land in your spam folder.

The email will contain a QR code and a numeric code. Bring these codes with you when you come for pick-up.

The lockers are located on the east side of the Learning Resource Center, across from the Business building and close to the pick-up and drop-off area.

If you need a wheelchair-accessible locker, please contact us at (916) 558-2301 or circlib@scc.losrios.edu and tell us your student ID number.

The lockers are equipped with a touch screen. When you arrive, you can either scan the QR code or type the code on the touch screen, and the locker will open. After you retrieve your items, please shut the locker.

The first time you use the lockers, you will need to accept Luxer One's terms of service.

You can pick up the items at your convenience, 7 days a week between 5:30 am and 11:00 pm.

If you don't pick up the items promptly, you will receive reminders from luxerone.com. If you haven't picked up the items after 5 days, the items will be removed from the locker and your loans will be canceled.

Locker Holds

If all lockers are occupied, your item will be held inside the library until a locker becomes available. If the library is open and you are able to come in, you can come to the 2nd floor circulation desk to get your item, or you can wait for a locker to become available.

Luxer

To provide locker services, the library has contracted with Luxer Corporation. When you make a pickup request, Luxer is provided with your name, email address, and Los Rios user ID so that it can send you notifications about your locker deliveries via email.

When you make your first locker pickup, you must accept Luxer One's terms of service before you retrieve your items. You may review these terms in advance at the Luxer One website.

When you pick up your package, you may enter your phone number to receive text messages about future deliveries.

The lockers are monitored by a video feed that is viewable by SCC library personnel and Luxer.

When you use a locker, a camera snaps a picture of you. This image may be retained on Luxer's servers for up to 90 days.

If you do not agree to these conditions, you should not use the lockers.
