How do I request a book or other material to borrow from the CRC Library?

Note: Requesting materials is unavailable between semesters. Requesting will be available the week before a new semester begins.

Requesting a Book

You can request a book or other physical material (like a DVD) to borrow from the CRC Library in a few easy steps. All requested items must be picked up from the library lockers. Requests may take 2-3 business days to be prepared for pickup.

Request a Book

Find the item that you want to borrow in Onesearch.

Click on the title of the item to see how you can get it.

Sign in with your wID and password to see if it’s available.

Click the request button

Select the pickup location and submit your request. (Note: Available pickup locations may vary based on the material.)

On the screen, you’ll see a confirmation that your request was successful.

View or cancel requests using your Library Account in the upper right corner.

After you submit a request, Library staff will receive and prepare your request for pickup. Requests may take 2-3 business days to be prepared for pickup.

Elk Grove Center

You may specify the Elk Grove Center as a pickup location. EGC requests may be picked up in the Learning Resource Center (EGA-204). 

Reserves

Reserve materials (10-day, 1-semester) may be requested in advance and picked up from a CRC Library locker.

Luxer One

To provide locker services, the library has contracted with a third party, Luxer Corporation.

When you make a request for CRC Library pickup, the Library provides your name, email address, phone number, and Los Rios user ID to Luxer so that it can send you notifications via email and (if desired) text message. To use the lockers, you must accept accept Luxer One's terms of service. You may review these in advance at the Luxer One website.
